Before I left for the WR, literally a week before I left, I met a guy at the Death Cab concert I went to, who is mentioned in “my big brown cloud” blog. We started talking and he invited me to go to church with him at Resurrection Fellowship in Loveland. I wasn’t going to pass up a new church experience, especially because I’ve heard such good things about Rez and the pastor there. There ended up being a guest pastor for the night that jumped up on the stage and started to prophesy over us as a whole. He starts by asking, “Eleven… eleven in eleven… does that mean anything to anyone?” I looked at Ian, and was shocked. God is so good and I love knowing that I am right where I need to be when I’m supposed to be there.
His entire sermon was about the number 11, and how it is a time of transition. That we are transitioning into a time of double portions of what Jesus has to bring us. We are going to be the weakest during this transition, but need the most strength from God. After we get through 11, there is 12. There are 12 tribes of Isreal, and they received double portions from the Lord. This was the pastor prophesying over the congregation as a whole, and when he was done preaching, he continued to prophesy over us section by section. Ian and I were sitting in the second section, so were spoken over next. He came to our section and he shared from God, that we are going to “open heavens” during this transition.

I. was. in. awe.
Three days before I left for this godventure, and God is telling me that I will be opening heavens.
I’m now in Nepal, and I cannot describe to you the joy that I have felt from the second I saw the mountains above the clouds. Despite the lack of sleep, and weird eating habits for the last couple of days, Jesus took me into such a sweet place with him, telling me how special I am, and the excitement he has for me this month. After hours of waiting to apply for our visas, then an hour bus ride to our home for the month… we were home.

Megh (dad), Bhim (mom), and Subash (son) are the most welcoming family I have ever encountered and lived with. We had a delicious dinner waiting for us, and a little talk with Megh about his vision and what our ministry is going to look like this month. His vision here is –
To open doors – that the people they minister to are welcomed into their home, and they hope to be welcomed into homes as well.
To open hands – that they do works for these people, and they want to see these people work with their hands in service, as their hearts start to soften.
To open hearts – that they want to see these peoples’ hearts opened to what Jesus’ salvation offers them and how to be showered with his love.
To open the way – that once these people have accepted Jesus as their savor, they are learning the way that God has laid out for them.
And lastly, to OPEN HEAVENS – that they are now opening heavens and bringing Father’s Kingdom to this world.
Again, I.was.in.awe.
When Megh was sharing this, I felt completely taken over by the Spirit. I felt him inside of me, filling everything in me, warming me, and taking me out of myself in a way. It’s hard to describe, but it’s nothing of this world, that’s for sure. November is the 11th month of the year, and I am going to get double portions. Jesus is here in Nepal, he is here in these people, and he is here inside of me. My voice is going to be activated in a new way this month, my heart is going to broken and strengthened in new ways this month, and I am going to connect with God a whole new way this month.
I am opening heavens this month… get ready Nepal!
