As most of you know, I have just recently completed four years at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, and graduated with my Bachelors of Science and Nursing. I will be taking the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) to get my RN license, on July 19th, and then these last four years’ worth of hard work is official! Thank you all so much for you support through that journey… and here I am asking for your support with the next step in my journey.
I was able to travel to Madera, Mexico last summer with my home church, Grace Place, and even though I have been raised in a wonderful Christian home, this was the first time I have experienced the overpowering love of God. It was not just something that I felt or knew, it was something I experienced, and it has permanently changed me. I have never been around a group of believers that were so in love with each other to be such servants! It was overwhelming and contagious to say the least. A big part of my change was the fact that I was put outside of my comfort zone, and was focusing my time on my little sister, Rhya, to make sure that she was experiencing as much of Father as she could. I did not realize how much my heart was softened and permanently changed until I came back to the States, and was brought to tears every time I thought about Father’s love for each and every one of us. He loves us and takes care of us when we are busy doing His work. And this was only a two week trip!! I am so excited to dive deeper into my relationship with our Creator which leads me to the next step in my journey.
With much prayer, and God’s answers, I have decided to embark on an eleven month mission’s trip to eleven different countries starting this September. I will be traveling under Adventure in Missions which oversees the World Race, and Christian ministry. This group enables young adults to spread the love of God throughout this beautiful, yet broken world and to all of those who need to hear the Gospel. Through adventure, ministry, broken hearts, individual stories, worship and discipleship, we will be able to touch those that have not seen Father’s light. We will be partnering with the local churches and ministries to witness to women and children trapped in slavery and prostitution, visiting orphanages, and sharing the Gospel. I am anxious to see and feel all that Father will be teaching and showing me in this next year; to see how He is going to change my heart even more and what I am capable of by enveloping myself in Him. Two weeks of serving the people of Madera and my team has changed me already… I cannot hold in my excitement for how my heart will be shaped during this next year of travel!
I am so thankful for this opportunity that Father has placed in my life. I believe that He provides for our needs, and that He is going to do that through all of you! I am in need of many prayers as well as financial support to make all of this possible. My needed total for the World Race is $15,000, which will cover all of my expenses in the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. I am working full time this summer and am applying all my earnings towards this trip. If 25 people pledge $50 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. That is a few stops to Starbucks on the way to work or school, a few more packed lunches, and a Redbox movie versus seeing one in the theater.
I have enclosed a response card and a pre-addressed stamped envelope, inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at AmandaStoesz.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation there.
I am very eager to know Father more, to see the need that is in these nations, and to see how He will use me to help others. I pray that I am not only a blessing to those that I am serving on the field, but also to all of you. I am thankful for the opportunity to be your representative in Christ and am appreciative already for the prayers and financial support. May Father bless you as you prayerfully reflect on partnering with me in this ministry.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:
‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Acts 20:35
