This month my team and I were in ( the bush) Kwera Uganda, a few hours outside of Lira. Once we arrived we immediately were adopted into a family of 9 children. We were 9 in number as well, so it just made sense that Pastor Tom and his wife ( whom we called mama) would welcome us into their home. It was an amazing time getting to know them this past month!

We worked with Pastor Tom’s church, the school that was onsite, and compassion international. It was so fun to play with the kids, preach the word, minister to the people there, hold seminars, and live life with them.. We fell in love and were truly blessed by their hospitality!

The last day we were there mama gave us honey as a gift fresh from the beehive. I thought it was funny because in the Bible it talks about honey being the taste of God. I really felt like we experienced God in a new way these past weeks and had a taste of his love, grace and joy.

Also, we head to Tanzania tonight, and were able to stop for a couple days and camp on the Nile, I bungee jumped for the first time and white water rafted with most of the squad it was a crazy opportunity and soooo fun!
