It’s crunch time.
I’ve been at this World Race thing for awhile now. In fact, almost a year to date. So after months of fundraising, weeks away from launch, how am I still coming up short and struggling to meet the financial deadline?
When I moved away to college, church was no longer a priority for me. God has just recently pulled me back to Him, and I’ve fallen in love with Him more than ever. Now that I’m back in my hometown after many years, I’m an unfamiliar face to many at my “home” church. It seems I have few places to turn to.
So, I’m turning to you – yes, YOU. Despite the impossibility by worldly standards of reaching this deadline, I know that I’ve been called go. This calling has been confirmed to me over and over again: that feeling of belonging I get being around my squadmates, prayers from loved ones and from strangers, the joy I have knowing how much I’m giving up to help others with so little, God speaking through others telling me, “This is exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
It seems completely out of my reach to raise the support I need in the time I have, but you see, that’s what God does. He puts us in situations that are impossible to achieve without Him, forcing us to surrender to His power. So, I continue to have faith and believe that God’s working up a miracle.
HERE’S THE SITUATION:
I need a total of $7,500 in my support account by next Friday, December 19th. Right now I have $5,506. That means I need almost $2,000 in 8 days.

Time is very, very short – and if I don’t meet this deadline, I will very likely not be able to go on the Race with my squad.
