I’m five wonderful feet tall and will probably have the biggest pack out of all my fellow Racers. My mom used to tell me dynamite comes in small packages.
I currently call Waterloo, Iowa home but was born in Minnesota and grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I’ve been dreaming of endless summers since I was little and hope to move somewhere warm when I return from the Race.
I have a Yorkie named Sophie who is often mistaken for my daughter. She enjoys naps and snuggling. Her favorite outfit is her bikini that she wears during summer. In her free time she volunteers as a Pet Therapist at the hospital.
I have a degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa. I spent a summer studying reptiles and amphibians in the South and will be the first to chase after any strange creature we stumble upon on the Race. {I’m really looking forward to strange creatures.}
As much as I love animals, I found that my passion is for people. I plan on getting a second degree in Nursing when I return from the Race. There is something truly amazing about caring for and comforting others in their weakest moments.
I currently work as a Patient Care Technician at a local hospital in an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. My love for serving others is what brought me to missions. I’ve felt God tugging at my heart for awhile now to do full time mission work and am so excited to be part of the World Race.
I know that God is about to turn my world upside down and wreck my heart with his love, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
