Stripped

So it’s finally beginning to sink in…

“I’m going to 11 countries for 11 months”  I can’t think about it too much because I get too excited!  I have to take it in slowly so I don’t get too stressed out! 🙂 I wanted to blog for you guys so you can get a glimpse of what this 11 month journey will be like.

We are going to be STRIPPED! No more money, jobs, homes, warm beds, hot showers, cleanliness, family, friends, tv, computers, washing machines, cars, etc… So right there are a few things that will challenge me!

Here are a few more uncomfortable situations…

 

COMMUNITY

 

If anyone knows me a little bit, you know I’m not much of a “people-person”. I love people and all, but I’d just rather be by myself. This is totally going to wreck any comforts I have of being a loner. I’m going to be surrounded by lots of personalities 24/7. This is going to be a major issue for me! I am used to doing my own thing, on my own time and on my own schedule… and I’m not a huge fan of crowds…. So major adjustments in that area!! CHECK.

 

TRUTH 

 

Also, another thing I will be forced to do, is share my TRUE feelings.. (aw. how sweet). Seriously though, I try to block out most negative feelings, or just cover them up completely. So expressing them is going to be way scary and vulnerable. EEEK. 🙂

 

WITNESSING

 

I’ll be honest, I’ve kind of lacked in this area. When the times come, I’ll either chicken out because I don’t want to be embarassed, or  I feel like I’m not ‘ready’ to tell people about Jesus.  So please pray that I can begin witnessing more and more!!! Thank you!! 🙂
