It seems a bit surreal but I fly tomorrow with the squad to Hong Kong. We will be there for a few days while waiting for our visas in China. We are entering into month 11. I will officially be landing in Seattle in one month after some time travel.
The month in China will be a bit different for me as I get the opportunity to travel with my co-leader, Jill, to a few different teams. And we start off with a bang as we head north on what is rumored to be a 30 hour train ride. No one can ruin my travel day. I aim to be excited for this trip but carrying some realistic expectations (which are never bad ones to have), I also know it will come with exhaustion and some unpleasant smells. Yay!
I love that I get to hang out with Jill this month too. We were together and led together almost the entire first half of the race. Still leading together, when our roles changed, the dynamic shifted a bit and we have kept working together over the phone, in prayer and emails. Sorry, not sorry, you are stuck with me all month, Jillian.
I am also really excited for one of the ministries I’ll get to partner with/experience next month as they have asked me to use my nursing skills. The site works with children in critical condition or with serious health issues and they have asked if I would be willing to help out. I have no idea what this entails, but I’ve missed nursing a good bit, so if it means wiping butts, I say bring it on. Bring it on.
If I am being realistic this is likely the last post I can get up before the end of the Race as we move into China. Unless I get my rump in gear and type another one out today. Who knows, I could be feeling ambitious.
I still have a few more blogs to post for sure, since you may not know anything about Malaysia, some more cool stuff from Cambodia and some heart ramblings, but at this point, I also want your help.
I want your questions.
I will continue to write my usual blogs for each country, but as we head into the final month, I want to your help to glean what you want to know.
So with the foreknowledge, that access to this site and facebook will be limited, I am hoping that I can be reached through my gmail account.
I would love for you to send me an email with questions you want answered. Email me at [email protected] and pray that I can access this account. Don’t mention Christianese words or change them up a bit – IE God can become G; Jesus can become J and missionary can become M.
I can figure out your code.
Ask me anything and everything (keep in mind I know nothing about astrophysics and logrithms) and pray that I’ll see it during the month with the hopes that I’ll post my answers when I land in the US of A in a month. [Worst case scenario, you have a delayed response of a week or so after I get home].
And yes, I realize that I am not the best at keeping up with information and blog writing… but I have a lot of time on trains ahead of me and blog writing will happen. {Let’s all speak that into being right now}
Soooo… Ask Away.
And pray for our month in China!
And soooon so soon. Home again. Home again. Jiggity Jig!
