I am in Romania (Or I was when I wrote this a couple of weeks ago).
The roads are paved, covered with dust and filled with stray dogs.

I am in Romania.

There are Mercedes, BMWs and Fords here on the roads.

Am I in America?

A Mercedes just drove around a horse and cart full of people and/or hay.

I am in Romania.

I find Germany gummi bears in the Penny Market.

Do I need to spend the money? No.

Do I? Yes. [poor restraint shown so far].

Will Fifty 6 liter bottles of drinking water be enough for the squad?

Only for a couple of days.

We have WiFi, washing machines, and warm showers.

Recognize the blessing.

Fifty-three people sharing the same internet connection.

Dont count on the connection. If you have important work to do politely ask people to get off and share the IP address.

There is a cat that lives out back.

Learn that some people love cats. Some people hate them. Some people just dont like this one.

Buy 50 rolls of toilet paper.

Youll need more.

Soccer or futbol with the locals is fun.

The Romanians crush the World Race teams often [or every time we play].

Walking down the street you will meet several little kids, some without pants, Roma people and cute little old ladies.

Say hello or Bune Pronounced Boon-ah

Coffee machines produce good espresso for a mere $0.33.

Make sure you dont burn your fingers. Think twice about this on a hot day. But do get it for a caffeine boost.

Fifty plus people in one house create high volumes of noise.

Take note of the afternoon rest time and when questioning the noise level, assume youre being loud.

Ministry looks different for everyone. And the church is so passionate in what they are doing.

Join them in this. Embrace it. Open your hands.

And remember these words : Isus te iubeste!

Jesus Loves You —[Yesu Te U-besh-te]

For Future squads.

Make sure you buy plenty of toilet paper and water for your squad when in doubt get more

Dont kick the cat some of your squad mates make actually like them. And were all about preferring others even if you dont prefer cats.

Enjoy the local noises: or as Jeff puts it Satans orchestra which is a cacophony of dogs barking, cars, horse and buggies and that darn cat

Shop at the Penny Market

Go to intercession at Hope church. Pray for the church and team here.

Head to the local soccer field and bring a watermelon. Take a Frisbee or football but dont plan on using it for long. Futbol is a way of life here.

Make friends with the neighbors.

Take your headphone splitter to church. It helps with the translation.

For A & J (my Dowd dudes)

There is a pool in the nearest town. I didnt get a chance to go. Some of my friends went swimming in a nearby river.

I had to be a nurse again a few times even though I tell people, Im not a nurse : )

I hope to get a video to show you where I lived from a girl on my squad soon.
The month was great. The people here are beautiful and the kids are always friendly. Thank you for all of your prayers. Miss you two goofballs!

Let me know if I missed one of you questions or if you have any more : )
