“Why do you want to do that?”

That is the response that I get from people when I tell them that I will be traveling in a backpack for 11 months and telling people about Jesus. It always make me smile whenever I get asked that but I just respond with why not?

I mean honestly why not? I am young and free and in love with the desires God has given me and put in my heart. He has given me such a compassionate personality that I don’t want to just sit back and watch things in the world not get any better. I have accepted that I am a doer and because of that I am willing to do what He tells me to do. He has given me a love for traveling and a desire to see the world love my God as much as I do!

Knowing the possible ministries that I could be working with brings me such joy. The idea that I could work with orphans, widows, women in sex trafficking or even just talking and creating fellowship with people makes me feel so many amazing emotions that God has given me. I mean me of all people I get this chance of a lifetime to go and live a life for Christ.

Of course traveling for 11 months will be a challenge. I am giving up so many things that some people don’t fully understand. I might not have the ability to take a shower every week….yes I said week, or I wont be able to just be on my phone when I want to be, and I might not even get enough food to eat some days. But you want to know something, I will be ok.

Nothing that I will experience on the trip God will not have already prepared me for. There may be times on this trip where I may feel sad or missing home or just not comfortable where I am. But I know that He will fill my heart with love like He has always done in my life so far.

I am ready to go.

So that is why I am doing this.
