This is going
to be one cold month; we’re in Kiev, Ukraine.
After a long
bus ride, two days in Moldova, and an overnight train we finally made it into
town. We got to stay in a retreat center for a couple of days while we found a
place to live and a ministry to dive into. God is faithful, and we are now all
in a loft studio apartment above a garage. I’m thrilled that we have hot water
and a western toilet!
As for
ministry we will be working with an Intervarsity type set up…we have yet to
find out more details. But there are other opportunities as well, English club,
holding AIDS babies, helping missionaries, and working with other teams in the
city with their ministries, as well as many others. Also, there’s Hillsong
Church here, and I hope to attend at least once. (Yeah Cory and Melissa, you
jealous?)
I am thinking
this month is going to be a good month, and I’m excited to see what will
unfold. Please pray that I stay warm enough, or that God would send me warmer
clothes, oh and for our ministry here as well.
