“I want my desire to be simple, to love and know God to the extent that God loves and knows me.” I wrote that in a recent journal entry, and it pretty much sums up what I try to strive for.

I guess I’ll just jump in:
Spiritual Background: I grew up knowing God and having a relationship with Him, although I remember accepting Christ in my heart about age 5. I grew up in church and was blessed to go to a private christian school from grades 6th thru 8th. This laid a lot of foundation work in my life with scriptures, seeking wisdom and trusting God. My relationship with God has always been real to me, He’s always been there, and even though there have been some really rough times I can always see His hand in things, afterwards. He truly is AMAZING! I love Him so much!
Background/Family: I grew up in a small town (that’s not so small now) on the westside of Washington State. I love the beauty and wonder of the Northwest, especially the breath-taking views of Mt. Rainier.
As for family, I have 2 older brothers (and their families including: 3 nieces and nephews which I adore), 1 younger sister, and my mom and stepdad. (My parents have the 2 dogs and cat but I pretend their mine too!)
Education: I graduated from Washington State University in May of 2007, Go Cougs! It only took me 5 years to get 2 BAs (Communication Studies and Spanish). This also included doing Education Abroad in Granada, Spain for a year, where I fell in love with learning and living in other cultures. I also loved it there.
The Why: I spent about a year and half trying to figure out what to do with my
post-college life. Every door seemed to close for me and it was quite frustrating. I ended up moving ‘home’ in obedience to God. Still searching for what to do, I Googled ‘mission organizations’ on a whim and I haven’t been able to get the World Race out of my head since. It took me awhile to get around to applying, because I was thinking and praying about it. God put on my heart to do it, so I applied and got accepted and everywhere I turn He has confirmed that this is for me.

I’m so excited to see how God is going to provide, move, make Himself known, bless, anoint, pour Himself out, simply everything that He is going to do on this awesome journey. Truly He is worthy to be praised!
