It has been forever since I blogged!! I apologize for that. After my birthday i seemed like the days just continued blending together and bleeding into each other day after day after day. I had an amazing birthday celebration weekend with some great friends and fellow CGA apprentices. Then BAM! Suddenly our labs were ending for Christmas break!

The Christmas season just absolutely flew by, didn’t it?

It seems like just yesterday two of my friends and I were just packing up the car getting ready for what seemed like a million hour drive across the country for our Christmas vacation. We drove 3,044 miles, through 12 states in 13 days, saw so many friends and so many people that we all love.

We spent Christmas in Michigan with my family where we were spoiled just enough and loved on a whole lot. New Years was spent in Kansas City where we ushered in 2014 at the OneThing conference in the best way ever– with praising Jesus for 2013 and praising him for what is yet to come in 2014. Since I got back to Georgia I have been busy helping with Project Searchlight and Passport training camp and new CGA apprentice arrival stuff.

Before I left for Christmas break Worship Track was told of an opportunity that we might have at some point this spring. We were told that nothing was official and that all it might be was a dream, a rumor. We were not told many details but were told that there might be an option for us to go to Guatemala. I knew when they started talking about it that this was not going to be an easy trip. I knew that it would be physically and spiritually draining [in the best way possible]. I was looking forward to being able to stay home and pray for the team from the comfort of my life in Georgia. I didn’t really think about it again until I got back here because I was pretty sure I wouldn’t be going.

Adventures in Missions has a base in Guatemala and they are moving locations. So, basically, their desire is for us to come down to go before them in their new city in prayer and worship before they make the move. There are some pretty heavy spiritual things going on in that general area and we just want to bring some light to those dark places and begin to worship the one true God near places where they still do things like animal sacrifice and pagan rituals. In going we would also be able to encourage the team that is in Guatemala on the front lines of this ministry, doing the thing that God has called them to do. I personally have 3 friends who are there and I know that they could use some hugs and encouraging words to not grow weary of doing good.

I wasn’t planning to go, but God had other plans for me. So, I am going to Guatemala in just over two weeks. The time came much quicker than I thought it would, and the call came for me to go, so I am going. As much as I have missed the nations, my absolute heartbeat in this is to literally bring the darkness into Light and to proclaim truth in a place of lies. I want to encourage God’s people in Guatemala to press on, to press in to the heart of what God is doing and what He is asking them to do. In order to make that happen I need to raise $675 to cover my airfare, food, lodging, and transportation. I am not afraid of the call to go, but I need your help to do so. I am so thankful for those of you who have continued to support me in this crazy journey the Lord is taking me on and I know that the Lord is going to bless you in wonderful ways as well. Much love,
