Wow.

I can’t believe launch started almost a week ago!

Last Tuesday I met up with my squad (and C and E squads) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
for three days before heading out to Guatemala.

Launch was a ridiculous blessing for me.

Reuniting with this family has been the biggest, most
exciting way to start this adventure. We met up in the Ft. Lauderdale
airport in the baggage claim and it was with excited screams, laughter, and
many hugs that we spent our first few moments together. I knew that I missed
these people, but when I saw them in the airport after the roller coaster of
the previous week, it was like I had never been so happy to see a group of
people in my entire life!! We spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at a
ROMANIAN Baptist church in Hollywood,
Fl.

Something to learn on the World Race is to be flexible… In
the spirit of that, pretty much immediately when I arrived I was told that I
was going to be put onto a different team. I was not really worried about it at
all and actually had a really awesome peace about it. I am still on an all
girls team, it is just different. There are six amazing ladies that I will
introduce you to as I get to know them better.

At launch I got to spend some awesome quality time with a
girl from another squad who I have gotten super close to. She and I had some
amazing time of just pouring into each others lives and just speaking truth.
Our friendship is not going to be one that is easily shaken and I am so excited
about that.

On Thursday night my squad started our first travel day. It
went a little something like this…

Walk from the church to a bus,

Wait for the second bus,

Take the bus to the train station

Wait at the train station for an hour,

Get on the train.

Take the train to the airport bus.

Take the airport bus to the airport.

Sleep in the airport.

Wake up every 15 minutes to the lady making sure that we
knew what time it was.

Wake up at 5:15 a.m.

Check bags.

Rock through security.

Get on a plane.

BAM! End up in Guatemala.

Launch was fantastic and I am so stoked to be here!!!
