There are a lot of little things to be thankful for. Sometimes you need to tilt your head and squint your eyes to see them. Other times, they'd kick you in the knee if they had feet.
This is something I have been learning this year. So here's a list, although not exhaustive, of some of the most popular little things I have been thankful for on the Race…
Smiles. Waves. Kids yelling "MZUNGU!!"
Dancing.
Spinning.
Tickle fights.
Piggy-back Rides
A house to live in. Beds to sleep in. A coffee table in the living room to eat around and have family time.
Spur-of-the-moment wedding invites.
The small gasp of air a child takes when they belly laugh.
Hugs and Butts.
and….
Friendships that will last a lifetime!
No matter where I look, there are little things. And that's what makes this journey worth it.
