I have six people on my team. Four are fully funded, and two still need money. Our final deadline is on July 1– That's not very far away, is it?
Alexandra is my team leader. She's a once-upon-a-time high school cheerleader from Texas (where everything, including her heart, is bigger than everywhere else). Alexandra has been on my team since we launched in January. I have spend five and a half months with this lovely human being. I have seen her laugh and I have seen her cry. She is, without a doubt, one of my best friends on the squad. However, she is one of the two people on my team who still needs funding. Carina is my other teammate that still needs funding. She's born and raised in Connecticut. This girl has been through a whole lot of changes this year. She has been broken and built back up. And she has put up one heck of a fight for her relationship with our Creator. And she has been an example to me- showing me what it means to really set yourself aside and prefer others. She has a heart of gold, and she loves with the whole thing.
