When it comes to expectations, I find that I set them unreasonably high.  But when it comes to the World Race, I tried my best not to have any expectations at all.  I can tell you now, I had plenty, and they were all blown away!

For the last three days my team and I have spent countless hours rolling huge boulders from one side of a swamp to another, in hopes of forming a dam.  The goal of the project is to build a Tilapia pond that will feed thousands of people who cannot afford to feed themselves or their families, all while spreading the good news of Christ.  I have been told that this is probably the hardest manual labor I will ever do on the World Race, and all I can say is "Thank the Lord!!" You see, this swamp is not just mud, grass, and water. No. It's mud, grass, water, bacteria, cow, and horse POOP!!! That's right. I spent the last three days playing in poop and dancing the day away!

There is a beauty in all of this dirtiness, however. Even though we were covered from head to foot with mud and poo, we were doing the work of the Lord.  Sure, it was hard work, and I wanted to quit many times throughout the day, but there was always that small voice in my head saying "this isn't about you anymore". And that voice was exactly right. This isn't about me at all. This is about bringing the Kingdom to everyone in the world, and although I am only one person, it only takes that one that isn't afraid to step out to reach one more. Numbers add up, and lives get saved. Just step up and dance in the poop!
