Dear Friends and Family,

I hope you’ve had an awesome summer. Thanks for taking a minute to read this letter. I just wanted to write you to let you know about some exciting new things going on in my life. This past May I graduated from Harding University with a degree in Psychology. Most students with this degree go on to grad school, so that has been my plan for a while. I was accepted into the Counseling program at the University of Denver, and up until recently, I was preparing to begin school there in the fall. However, my plans have recently been turned upside down, and I will now be setting a year aside for mission work.

In May, I heard about something called the World Race. It is a program run through the organization, Adventures in Missions. The Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries. I have always had a heart for missions and for travel, so this trip sounded perfect. After my missions trip to Belize, I made the decision to defer from grad school and join The Race. During the next year, my team and I will travel to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. We will serve in partnership with ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, aid in planting churches, work with orphans, minister to women and children who have experienced human trafficking, and restore hope to everyone we come into contact with.

I am overwhelmingly grateful for this opportunity God has given me, and I would love for you to be a part of it. I know that God has called me out, and that He will provide for my needs for this trip. It is my prayer that God would provide through you. I ask that you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $16,000 in order to participate on the World Race, which will cover all of my expenses on the field for the year. My first deadline is September 25th, and I must raise $3,500 by that date to continue moving forward. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date.

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30374-2570. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at : amandaabla.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.

I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and yours in the upcoming year. I am constantly blown away by His goodness and faithfulness, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming around the corner. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and support.  If you have any questions about donations or the ministry in general, please contact me via email at [email protected], or by phone at 720-281-0058. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

Sincerely,

Amanda Beth
