I am FULLY FUNDED.
I am leaving the country without having to worry about support raising while I am away. You have no idea how much this means to me. When I say WE did it…I mean that we did it together because none of this would be possible without you.
Going into this journey, each person knows that they have to raise over $16,000 to cover the cost of this trip plus all of the additional expenses that you really don’t realize are associated with the cost of leaving for the year. That number is daunting and some days it just really seems like you will never get there. Normally, this would be a cause for great stress and worry on my part. I tend to want to do things on my own and I used to joke with my friends that my life verse is “you of little faith” because I always try to do things on my own and in doing so, choose not to trust God so he brings that verse up a lot for me. As you have probably heard me say in the past, I even had a 5 year plan to save up all the money on my own to do this thing. Plans changed and God wanted me to go now and I cannot even imagine having it any other way. My one prayer from the beginning was that I would be fully funded before I left the country. I prayed it boldly and I prayed it often. On January 14th, my youth began a study on the book “Circle Maker”. The first night, we all wrote down our big, bold prayers that we were going to pray circles around together. The number I needed as of that day was $11,990 and my goal was to have it by July 1st and a little piece of me thought that this was probably a goal that was too large to be fulfilled in my time span. I wrote down this quote in my journal and it has stuck with me ever since:
“Bold prayers honor God, and God honors bold prayers. God isn’t offended by your biggest dreams or boldest prayers. He is offended by anything less. If your prayers aren’t impossible to you, they are insulting to God.”
My prayers that seemed impossible in the beginning weren’t because I serve a God who can do all things. When I pray for things that I cannot possibly do on my own, it forces me to depend on God and in the end only He gets all the glory. And let’s be real, there is no way that I, on my own could have come up with over $16,000.
Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to each and every one of you who have allowed God to use you to support and encourage me.

The journey is just beginning and I am so glad I have all of you to take the ride with me. I am praying for each one of you while I am away and I am so glad to know that so many of you are doing the same.
