I just realized today that I haven’t been doing a very good job of keeping you all updated. If you know me then you know I talk a lot I feel like all I do lately is talk about my trip and all the MANY details it involves. I actually even get tired of talking about it sometimes (only very sometimes lol). Somehow this also caused me to forget that I don’t see or talk to all of you on a regular basis and therefore haven’t told you all the updates.
So, in case I haven’t already told you, I have changed my route and will now be leaving in early January instead of this Fall. The route I chose is called a Fusion Route which basically means it may include racers from all over the world. I’m super stoked for the opportunity to experience new places and cultures with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds. You can’t get more diversity than that!
There were several reasons for changing my route. To be honest, allowing myself a little more time to fundraise was one. But it wasn’t the main reason. In reality, it came down to a quiet prayer time with Jesus when I suddenly, overwhelmingly felt that my current season here in Louisiana needed more time. It’s difficult to explain but this is often how the Lord speaks to me. No grand plan or superior logic. Just a still, small voice.
As of right now the countries I will be visiting are: Thailand – Cambodia – Vietnam – Indonesia – Botswana – South Africa – Swaziland – Latvia – Ukraine – Romania – Bosnia
These have changed a couple of times already so don’t be surprised if they change again!
I also have new fundraising deadlines:
December 18th- $10,000
February 29th- $13,000
April 29th- $16,262 (the full cost of the trip)
Thank you all so much for partnering with me this far. I’m currently at $5,244! That’s amazing! We still have a ways to go but I know God is faithful to His call.
PS: Don’t forget to subscribe for email updates so you won’t miss a post!
