I found a place that sells pop tarts the other day.
I can’t even tell you how excited I was.
They were only 200 shillings too.
Which is equivalent to about $2.50.
Glory.
The other day I was thinking about where God is leading me next.
I’ve known for what seems like a very long time,
but I have just begun exploring the opportunity set before me.
Let me back up a bit.
When I finished the race,
I knew that I was either going to lead a Passport trip,
which I am doing right now,
or I was going to do something else.
Something that was big and scary and potentially meant I would finally be a long term missionary.
I have been dreaming about being a long term missionary since I was 18.
I would always envision myself in some remote African village, gleefully living among the locals and spreading the love of God.
I always thought about Africa and knew that I would live there someday.
Maybe even permanently.
Then I went on the race and I saw things all over the world that wrecked me.
Changed me.
Transformed me.
I came home knowing I would return one day to a specific ministry in a specific nation,
but my heart was torn.
It was not Africa that I felt called to.
It was not the dusty roads of my beloved Africa that God was leading me long term.
It was not the beautiful mahogany-coloured people that I would be loving.
It is not Africa.
But Asia.
Thailand, to be more specific.
My heart has been burdened for Thailand since the moment I set foot on Thai soil,
and that burden has just gotten heavier the longer I’ve carried it.
My heart is broken for them in a way that it has never been broken before.
That being said, Thailand is not part of my immediate future.
There’s a reason I opened this blog by talking about pop tarts.
After Kenya,
I am coming home.
But again, it’s only for a time.
A year, most likely.
I’m ready to live in Canada and to be a part of what God is doing there.
I’m ready to really build into my house church.
I’m ready to be a part of what God is doing through Tehillah Monday.
I am ready to be part of the revival that is happening in Calgary.
I’m ready to be with my family.
I’m ready to take hot showers, drive on the right hand side of the road, wear makeup everyday, be in a country where english is the native language, be able to buy poptarts whenever the heck I want…
Only until next January, of course.
My heart is undeniably burdened for Thailand.
But it is also burdened for Canada.
For Calgary.
So that’s where I’m headed.
My plan is to be with my family and to start raising money as soon as possible to head back to Thailand.
Pray for my heart seeing as I have no idea what it’s like to live in a first world country anymore.

I am still in need of $344 for this trip. I would be incredibly honored if you would like to partner with me in continuing to spread the Gospel across Kenya.
