I hate writing this.
Partially because I know that some of you will skim over it and get to the bottom line thinking, “yep. Just another missionary mooching off of her hard working friends.”
Also because I’m stubborn and prideful and I have a hard time asking anyone for anything.
But I love writing this.
Because I realize that so many of you believe so passionately in what it is that I am blessed to do.
Dear World Changer,
I know that your heart beats for the Nations, too.
Just like mine.
I know that you would bleed for the day that Heaven completely invaded earth. The day that every orphan was wrapped up in mamas arms. The day that every woman could walk with dignity- free from the shame of being sexually exploited. The day that every injustice came to an end and grace flowed as freely in the streets as all of the clean water flowed through the wells in Africa.
I know that you long for that.
I do too.
I know that while God has blessed me with the time,
He has blessed many of you with the resources.
This month, I have an opportunity to activate and lead a group of radicals who have given 4 months of their lives to see to it that mercy meets violence, that grace meets condemnation, that food settles into hungry bellies, that knowledge is imparted to the uneducated, and that love is extended to the desolate.
You know. All of those things that you long to see happen.
But I can’t do it alone.
I know that I am blessed with the time and the opportunity to GO. (And really, you are too.)
But even if you’re not on that plane…
I know you long to be a catalyst of change in the world.
And you can be.
Those are the numbers I am praying for financially. The first is my “in the red” number. I am -210.63 in my support account. The second is the amount I am hoping to raise for things I’ll need on the field like shampoo, deodorant, etc. The third is the amount I need to raise to be able to lead this team.
For those of you who aren’t interested… You don’t have to give me anything. I am fully trusting the Lord to provide for me. I don’t need your money.
But for those of you who are longing to sew into the Nations…
