The day wore on. I kept telling myself to live in the now because these might be my last moments in Africa, last moments with my team, last moments as a World Racer. Thoughts of how I might feel when I finally received that email plagued me the entire day. I knew there would be an email in my inbox tonight and I knew that it might tell me to pack – for either Mozambique, or for home.
What the email said isn’t really significant, but I talked with Nathan, my squad leader and past team leader, shortly after and he gave me great news.
The deadline was 3 days ago and I still need $2,495.23.
But I’ve been given an extension.
Though small, it is an extension nonetheless.
I have four days (until MONDAY JANUARY 9, 2012) to raise $1,500 of my $2,495.23 and if I do, someone is going to give me the rest of the money.
If I cannot get this $1,500 in by Monday evening, I will be on a flight home on Tuesday.
So I am asking you.
The time is now.
There is no more delay, no more extensions after this one.
I need your help.
I literally cannot be on the field without you. I am called here, but with no support, I physically cannot stay here.
It’s not about giving money to a good cause. It’s about being part of God’s amazing plan for the nations and furthering the Kingdom from your home. You are just as much part of this as I am, and I would be honored if you would partner with me.
***Please contact me on facebook, or comment on this blog to tell me the amount you are donating as it may not show up in my account for a few days. If AIM knows the money is coming, they will count it as money I have when the deadline comes.***
