Being home from training camp has been interesting to say the least. After spending 9 days lost in the mountains of Tennessee, I sort of forgot that there is a world that exists outside of my new fams.
In the real world, people seem to judge you if you go 9 days and only shower 3 times.
In the real world, men would never walk around holding hands (inter-digitation, people).
In the real world, it’s impossible to fall madly in love with 57 strangers without being a polygamist.
In the real world, sleeping in a different place every night would be seen as being homeless.
But the World Race is different.
We don’t care if you have showered or not because we know that it ultimately came down to a decision of whether to sleep or shower, and we all know which choice I would choose.
Watching our men walk around hand in hand on Africa day was probably the cutest thing ever.
Here’s proof lol.

I promise we aren’t polygamists, but I am madly in love. We laughed together, we cried together, we ate on the ground, slept on the ground, worshipped on the ground together. If this is wrong, baby I don’t wanna be right.
We changed homes every night, but we are a family so no matter where we went, we were always home.
This week, I ate grilled cheese with bananas on it, I danced until I could barely move, I had to let people carry me up a mountain, I laughed more than I thought possible, I hiked with a 40lb backpack, I only used my tent twice, I was sweaty, dirty and so full of joy.
This week I worshipped more freely than I ever have. This week, the chains were broken. This week has been a week of victory for me.
This week, I found my family in the mountains of Tennessee.
