Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for the privilege that you have given me these past 11 months to serve the Lord! I have trouble summing up this year partially because there is nothing I can say about it other than . . .
GOD WAS GOOD. GOD IS GOOD. GOD WILL FOREVER BE GOOD.
These last eleven months I have had the opportunity to:
– witness to college students in China
– build a foundation for a children’s home in Thailand
– love orphans in Cambodia
– sing Christmas carols with a family church in Malaysia
– grow in confidence and leadership with my new role in Japan
– seek out new ministries and discover the body of Christ in Albania
– serve a women’s ministry in Bulgaria
– stand beside and work with Hope Church Romania
– teach English lessons about Jesus in Ukraine to high schoolers
– take a group of 40 orphans to the movie theater for the FIRST time in Swaziland
– work at a youth camp, holiday club, and the poorest of the poor in South Africa
These memories will remain forever in my heart as a testament to how the Lord moves all over the world! I have loved the places the Lord has taken me so much that I have decided to go a second time around as an Alumni Squad Leader at the World Race!
This time around, I will be co-leading a group of forty three adults between the ages of 21 and 35 to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Botswana, and Swaziland. I will be traveling to the countries with the Racers, helping them process their journey, and helping them safely arrive at their ministries. It will be an awesome opportunity to share the wisdom and insight I have gained from my race, and to invest in their personal journeys with the Lord.
This is where I need your help! First and formost I need your prayers; I know that I have not gotten this far in my life without the prayers and support I have received from you, and I will need your prayers for wisdom and discernment in leading my new squadmates in a Godly way for their race. Second, I have to raise 6500 dollars in order to travel with them for the first five months and to visit them on their 8th and 11th month debriefs. Of all the things I have gained, one of the greatest lessons I have learned is that the Lord’s timing is perfect, and I am so excited to see all that He has in store for me as well as the squad in this next step! God Bless!
