I made it safely out of the woods.  Although I bet you figured that out already.  I was not eaten by snakes, attacked by spiders or anything else; i definitely lost the battle against mosquitoes though.  Those guys are pesky.  My skype chat keeps chirping at me and interrupting my thoughts.  Any hope of organization is lost.  But, let’s be honest, there really was no hope for that.

Training camp was probably the best yet.  I think I say that every time, but this time I REALLY mean it.  We had worship like I have never experienced before…you should check out Jonathan David Helser.  Go do that now.  I’ll wait.

did you do it?  Here it is again, just in case you forgot in the last 2.2 seconds….

Great.  I knew you would love him.  I just knew it.  I love him.  The presence of God just oozes off him in an unusual and beautiful way.  I have met 2 people this week that are younger than I am and have multiple children.  I struggle to comprehend how their lives are so very different than mine.  I don’t really compare lives, but i do wonder if they still have the same random thoughts, the same pull towards constant motion, the same gut reactions to injustice.  I imagine they do, but it is just in a different place.  I love hearing how they are bringing the KINGDOM into their own living rooms and families.  Sometimes I think that must be more of a challenge than living it out in a random country.

This weekend we hosted some of my new favorite people, Ray and Candace Ward.  They are friends and missionaries living in Thailand beating back the injustice of the genocide in Burma.   Their lives are testimony to the awesomeness of God and His provision.  Would you pray for them please?  You guys are such awesome prayer people!  By the way, Rob is doing great and they have his Leukemia in remission!  Thank you Jesus!!!

Some of my favorite people on the planet are headed to their family vacation this week.  And lucky for me, they find it invaluable to have a puerto rican nanny travel with them and invited me!!  They tease me because I tan like a puerto rican and love to teach the kids inappropriate phrases like “peace out homie”.  They let me tag along purely for entertainment value I think.  I love them like crazy and have been counting down the days to hang out with them!

welp, it is time to wrap this sucker up and move on to more productive things…like plucking my eyebrows and doing laundry.  Have a lovely weekend!

ps–i really think you will love this.  Definitely worth your time.  I promise.  If not, email me and I will send you something as an apology…maybe…
