A few weeks ago the leadership team of the World Race gathered in San Francisco. God has blessed us
greatly with a loving, dedicated, and passionate staff. From field
support to logistics, from alumni care to apprentices, from training to
admissions and marketing, we get the chance to be around real world
changers.
During our time in San Fran we evaluated the past, managed the
present, and prophesied the future. We undoubtedly laughed (a lot), prayed, counseled, and maybe even cried together. We left
refreshed, challenged, and changed – I am sure of it.
Jimmy McCarty – oversees all training for
life on the field. He is now taking on the job of overseeing the
Apprentice program for life off the field. Jimmy is one of the most
naturally strategic thinkers and communicators I have ever worked with.
He has a passion to motivate and stir his generation to destiny. I
love being in the room when he presents a new idea – his face lights up
and his hands move like a conductor – I normally say yes because he’s
such a great salesman.
she has such a servant’s heart and a gentle way, that I actually feel
more at ease when she’s in the room. She is our HR point and kind of
our quality control person – we evaluate everything from training camp
to final debrief and she handles all those details. Lynette lives the
furthest away and that certainly saddens all of us.
leadership group, she oversees the Real Life Department. Kelly has a
great smile and wonderful snort when she laughs. She has such a passion
for excellence and understanding. She will be a life long learner and
that makes her fun to lead. She thinks deeply, processes constantly and
is an extremely quick study.
enjoyable just being around her. She is passionate to make all things
happen, to make them happen now, and to make them happen with
excellence. She’s a prophetess and an exhorter who uses her words and
excitement to fire up people around her – as with all fiery gifts, she
is tender hearted and easily moved. She oversees the World Race.
Jake Rodriguez – oversees logistics, set up,
and finance. He is always moving, incessantly working, and constantly
serving. He takes care of all of our travel details and then chauffeurs
us around when we get to our destination. My wife considers him a son,
my sons consider him a brother, and I’m glad he’s at the table.
rear, and sit back and watch all of the amazing staff make it happen. We
are going to mobilize 600 18-32 years olds this year
and a 1000 next year.
