Reid grew up in Kansas City, MO and he is blessed with having a Christ-centered family. As Reid looks back, he realizes how wonderful of a childhood he had and how his family is a rare treasure. Reid has two sisters, one older and one younger, and both are his best friends.

Reid graduated from the University of Missouri in 2012 with a degree in Civil Engineering. At Mizzou, he went to class, played a lot of pick-up basketball and was very involved in his fraternity, Beta Upsilon Chi, or BYX. BYX is the largest Christian fraternity in the country, and Reid’s time in BYX changed his life as he began to take ownership of his faith in Christ, and began the process of transformation.

Reid was hired right out of college and began working at a civil engineering firm in Kansas City. As he worked, Reid started volunteering at a local homeless shelter and his church’s youth group. God used both activities to steer him towards missions, and eventually towards the World Race.

At home, Reid enjoys playing basketball, riding his motorcycle, exercising, and doing yard work with his Dad. Reid’s favorite TV shows are Scrubs and Psych, and he (along with Andy) plan on introducing our team to Psych! Reid played guitar in his church’s worship band, and has a strong passion for preaching from the pulpit and teaching in a small group setting (in which he is very excited to do both on the Race). Reid loves listening to people, both in times of celebration and struggle.

I could not ask for a better individual to lead our team this next year. The joy and excitement Reid carries is contagious. He brings such depth and wisdom to our team with his desire to walk with the Spirit. I am so excited to love, grow, experience, laugh, travel, encourage, serve, empower, and live life with Reid and our incredible team.
