Beth was born and raised in sunny San Diego. Beth is blessed in that she grew up in a Christian home where both of her parents showed her love and encouragement throughout her struggles and achievements. After high school Beth went off to Colorado State and got her degree in Liberal Arts. She wanted and planned to teach English in a foreign country after she graduated, however, God had other plans for her. Beth moved home after graduation in order to save money for teaching in Japan, but ended up not being able to go to Japan. Beth started working at Starbucks and pursued her dream of becoming a hairstylist. She went to beauty school and got her license in Cosmetology. After getting her license, she began assisting one of her good friend to gain experience and to find a place to work. She ended up not loving it as much as she thought she would. As an introvert it was hard to sell herself and put the word out there. So, Beth continued to work at Starbucks throughout all her training and decided to do it full time. After a few years of working at Starbucks Beth decided she wanted to do more and contribute to future generations more. Beth remembered hearing about the World Race and decided to take action in order to share the word of God with others. God put a passion in her heart and she had to trust that He would provide. Beth continues to seek Him daily and tries not to let the enemy discourage her or bring her down. God has revealed to her that His plans are way better than hers and that she needs to be patient.
I have had the awesome opportunity of getting to know Beth the past few weeks and what a blessing she is to our team! She is incredibly selfless and willing to do whatever is needed.
As of right now, Beth has approximately $4360 in her WR account. She still needs a total of $7500 by June 17 to launch with our squad. Would you prayerfully consider financially partnering with Beth? If you feel led to give, you can go to her blog at bethmontgomery.theworldrace.org (or click on her name on the left side of this blog) and click the link that says “Support Me!”.
You all have been so, so good to me and my prayer is that Beth will feel that same love.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
Grace and peace,
Allison
