When I applied for The World Race I knew God would provide the means necessary for this experience but I was not expecting to be almost fully funded 3 months prior to my departure. The final deadline of when I must have the full amount in my account is not until January 2015. It was exactly 1 month and 12 days ago when I was just shy of hitting the 50 percent mark of my fundraising goal of $16,285.
At this very moment on April 8th, I have $15,856 in my World Race account.
God is so, so amazing. In 5 short months HE has blessed me over and over again. I am completely undeserving of this gift and cannot express how thankful I am.
To my dear Sulphur Well Church Family: From the time I started attending church there in January; you have continuously welcomed, encouraged, supported, loved, and inspired me. Thank you for allowing me to share my story and passion. Thank you for the incredible support with my Faith Rings. Thank you for the items being donated to my yard sale. Thank you for being a part of this journey and your continued prayers. I am grateful for each and every one of you and you hold a very special place in my heart.
To my extended family, friends, and acquaintances: God has used your generous hearts to bless and encourage me in more ways than you’ll ever know. You have helped affirm the call God has spoken to me to meet and serve HIS children all over the world and I could not be more grateful. I am blessed beyond belief to have family and friends who love God and who love me and are excited to be a part of this journey.
To my parents: I realize everyday just how blessed I am to have the two of you. I can claim to be as independent as I want to be but when it comes down to it, your support is more important to me than any other. Without you, I would not be where I am today. I love you more than words can say.
This process has built up my faith more than I could have imagined. In the past 5 months, I have started to understand what it looks like to simply trust God and know that HE will provide. Don’t ever doubt what God is capable of. If HE is calling you to give up everything and follow HIM, Go. I challenge you to be open to God’s voice and trust in HIM because HE will pull through for you….always. Whatever your situation is you are struggling with, leave it all at Jesus’ feet and trust that HE wil provide for you, whether that’s emotionally, financially, or spirtually….God is there with you through it all and HE will provide.
