I have
survived Africa! Not only did I survive
I thrived. Coming into Africa other
squads like to say things to scare you so I was a little frightened. So I really didn’t know what to expect. Yes, Africa is challenging. It could be a while before I see another
squatty potty, I am over the bucket showers, and I can’t wait for internet that
works but the hope, love, and joy that radiate from this place is
contagious. I have made it through
Africa with out getting Malaria, Typhoid, sick from food, sick from the cold in
Uganda, and I was retested and do not have the parasite from the Nile. I attribute my health to God’s divine
provision and my stellar immune system from being exposed to thousands of
things as a nurse. Either way praise the
Lord!
We
found out recently our teams will be changing once again. I am sad to close the chapter of Shekinah but
am excited to see what the Lord has for me.
I experienced so much growth with this team that if He feels I can learn
more from others I prefer that over being comfortable.
This
new season is already proving to be a new step into my growth as I have been
asked to lead a team in Bangkok, Thailand.
I will be working with “The Well”.
My team will be right on the front lines in the red light district meeting
girls and sharing the love of Christ.
Please start praying for me as I step into this new role. Not only is it my desire to reach the people
I meet in this ministry but to serve my new team as a leader that challenges
and leaves room for growth. I will be
sure to write more as I find out more information.
