As of right now I am preparing a Thanksgiving feast with my team. (well I was, I just stepped away for a second) Cooking a feast in African heat is not easy. We have invited our pastor over and his family. I can’t help but think of my family and friends this time of year as it is my favorite holiday. Although, I have to say I haven’t really been in the holiday spirit when I am surrounded by palm trees, the Indian ocean, and 100 degree heat. I am used to a much cooler Thanksgiving experience.
The girls on my team will be heading to Zanzibar tomorrow to spend a couple days and then our team will be heading up to Nairobi for debrief. Thanksgiving in Zanzibar never thought I would ever say that! My life continues to get even crazier. I will be heading to Thailand in T-10 days.
For now, I am just wishing everybody a wonderful Thanksgiving. I miss you all and am so thankful to have such beautiful people in my life.
