God’s pursuit of my teammate Logan
began before she was even created in her mother’s womb.   In fact being one of His chosen people she
was already set apart.  I want to just
share a little bit of her testimony because it is just an awesome example of
God’s redemptive power.

My name
is Logan Kaynes. My birthday is June 12, 1987. I was born and raised in Kings
Point, NY, which is about 30 minutes outside of NYC, on Long Island. I have one
brother who is so awesome, amazing parents and three adorable pups. I grew up
in a non-practicing Jewish household where a knowledge of God was non-existent
and ‘unnecessary’. My family was involved in the fashion industry for over 30
years and that lifestyle dictated and shaped my values and morals, or shall I
say lack of. I had to be thinner, taller, prettier, richer, etc. than everyone
else, leaving me unfulfilled, hopeless and spiritually bankrupt. At the age of
twelve I was put on Adderall, a medication for ADHD. I then chased harder
drugs, alcohol, lack of food, and men for years. I experience many physical,
emotional and spiritual consequences. When I just turned 19, my ex-boyfriend
threw me on a train to go back to New York from DC, where I was at The George
Washington University, because he knew I needed help. I was going through a
cocaine addiction, weighing 90 pounds. My parents didn’t even recognize who I
was. I was still unable to admit that I had become a drug addict so I
manipulated my way through doctor offices and an outpatient clinic, claiming
that I was just depressed, bi-polar etc. I was put on several medications for
about twelve different disorders. The medications started to have reverse
side-effects and over the next eight months, I was slowly deteriorating on my
parent’s couch, left with no hope, no friends (because I wanted to shut
everyone out), and a family whose hearts were breaking for me…

            As Logan was
wasting away God was already beginning a work in her life.   In fact Logan has many God appointed moments
that made her question His existence. She went to treatment where she ended up
going to a Christian half way house because it was “nicer than the other places
that were dumps.” Logan states she had no intention of even considering the
Christian faith but God was changing her heart. She has many God moments but
one of my favorite is when she got to the point she couldn’t deny Him.  She said she was leaving school one day
talking with the Lord it went something like this.  “Jesus, I get the point I see what you are
doing, but this can’t happen I’m Jewish we don’t believe in you.  How am I supposed to do this?”  Right then a car pulled up right next to her
with a boy inside wearing a Yamika.  As
she looked at the bumper stickers on the car she yelled “no way!” He had a
sticker of an Israeli flag and “Got Jesus?”
For her that moment changed her life as she knew the Lord was hearing
her and that just meant that she was forever Jewish and forever a believer of
the Lord of lords.

            I have been on
Logan’s team for two weeks now and she is one of the most amazing women of God
I have ever met.  She has been a
Christian now two years.  She gets
discouraged at times because she is just now reading the Bible and feels like
she doesn’t know of the stories that people talk about.  But the Holy Spirit that resides in her gives
her more wisdom than people that have been a Christians since childhood.  She has a joy and love that she freely gives.  She experiences a lot of persecution from her
Jewish community but as she stated “the word says we will be persecuted for
Christ” She said “I can’t change peoples minds and I can’t change what He has
done in my life, so I just do my part and share my story”

I wish everyone could meet Logan.
You would be blessed by her New York accent, her willingness to listen,
her prophetic words for people, and her faith that Our Father is good and loves
us so much that He pursues His children.
