Here are a few examples of what God has done. He introduced me to an awesome attorney. (Lora Whitehouse, look her up if you need one, she is great). The short version of this story goes like this, we needed an attorney to write my mom’s will. I had one of those Christian directories of services. I flipped through I think 20 pages got to the last page and there she was, I’m still not very sure why I picked her but God truly directs our paths. Turns out Lora had been praying and asking God to learn more about God healing and healing ministries. Guess what, my mom and I had just been at a healing service that weekend and were able to share the information we had from that. We continued to have anointed conversation. She did an excellent job with all the documents and even offered to finish mine for me. One less thing on my list of things to do! Thank you Lora, I am so thankful for you and what a blessing you were.
Another cool one. I had a friend of my God father Jan help me get all the paper work for my HCD and POA. I eventually completed them with Lora but it all began with Jan. So I finally had a chance to talk with Jan and we reviewed the paper work and of course got to talking. Well, it turns out Jan is part of my denomination and is actually a member on the midwest conference board. She knows my pastor which was neat. Jan does taxes and I was able to ask questions about that for next year when I’m gone. Well she offered to file my extension for me when I’m gone. Another thing knocked off my list of things to do. We had great conversation and she reminded me she is praying for me. Extra bonus!
Here is my last one, but there is so much more. I have been surrounded with a community of believers. I have to say I have been a little nervous of what this whole trip is going to look like. I feel God has surrounded me with a community that is a representation of the life I will live for a year. The only problem now is that my new family overseas is going to have live up to the most amazing people here. No it has been the most amazing feeling to be loved unconditionally by people that aren’t your family. They don’t have to, but they want to.
I am finding that God truly directs our paths. I had a list a mile long of things to do. Guess what God brought people to me. I didn’t struggle to do it He did it. There is about 5 other stories of how God checked things off my list. I just sit back in awe of the fact that none of what I am doing is on my own. He blesses me daily with His peace and the people He puts in my life.
Bonus report: I prayed over my friend who had hurt her neck…Jesus healed her. She is still pain free, a little sore but pain free!
