I have a busy week ahead of me! Starbucks, AIM, and moving to my next temporary living space! I am thankfully caught up on my AIM stuff, so that I can deal with things as they arrive in my Inbox and not dealing with past jobs. Now I can focus more on getting ready for the Race!! Woo hoo! I have much preparation to do, some of which I will be doing when I go home to Des Moines for 2 weeks. I am planning on having a garage sale to sell some of my stuff, so if anyone is intersted in donating stuff that you would like to get rid of, let me know! I need to have a whole slew of shots before I can leave, so I gotta start that process ASAP.
I am missing home alot lately. Wishing I could spend the last 3 months with my family before I leave. It’s crazy to think that I will be gone for a year without the option of coming home for a visit. I have been with AIM for nearly a year, but have had the opportunity to come and visit now and again. Alot can happen in a year! Julianna, my neice will be grown up so much and a new baby will be around that I won’t know till it’s 8 months old or so. I think about Heidi growing up and meeting a guy – dating! Hannah, Karyssa and Dan in highschool show choir, growing into adults and Hannah and Kryss thinking about what comes next. Wow… makes me a little sad.
But… at the same time… I am confident of God’s call on my life, and this is what it looks like for now. My deepest hearts desire is to be the will of God in this world, here or there. I believe that God will restore my lost time with my family, and will replace what is lost with His Glory. May he be glorified in my life, and in my heart as I pursue Him more and more…
