After only a few months of fundraising, I am already FULLY FUNDED for the World Race!!! Once the last check goes through, I will be at exactly $15,500. Can you believe I raised that much money in just about two and a half months?? It's such a blessing to be able to leave in July knowing that I am financially taken care of for the entire year. I can't stop thinking, "God is so good to me".
I have purchased almost all of my gear, and I only have a few more items I need before I leave including:
– plane ticket to "launch" (the location we'll meet in the U.S. before taking the international flight)
– digital camera
– iTouch or iPod (recommended)
– external hard drive
– and a few other miscellaneous items
Thank you to each of you who has supported me so far! And, if you haven't had a chance to give yet but want to support me, I will still need a lot of prayer throughout the year and it would be amazing if you could be praying for me while I'm gone. I will need a lot of courage, strength, discipline, and patience. Please pray that I will maintain a servant's heart and a giving attitude, and that I will remain in the Word and in the Spirit.
I feel like God has been preparing my heart more and more through the tests and trials of the past few months, and I'm really starting to feel ready for this. I can't thank you all enough for being so supportive through this process.
Training camp in Atlanta starts this Saturday, so keep me in your prayers as it is sure to be a challenging week!
