I feel like I am always writing and talking about love because God is speaking to me so much about love lately!

I have been memorizing 1 Corinthians 13 and meditating on this chapter. Christianity has been so misrepresented but even more, God has been so misrepresented throughout history and in this present time.

“This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 John 4:10

That is REAL love. We aren’t talking about a mushy Cinderella kind of love…we are talking about a sacrificial, pure, true love that is not conditional to how much the other person loves us.

“…God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16

God is love, that’s just who he is-he can’t not love us. People have done terrible things in the name of God. People have started war in the name of God but that isn’t who God is and that isn’t what God wants. My God is a loving, peaceful God. God is not a hateful God, he is not a God of war.

“But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8

That’s a bold statement. I can’t say that I always love and by not showing love, I am showing that I don’t know God. OUCH!

“Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:18

Anyone can say “I love you” or even declare love at the top of a mountain but words become useless without actions. One of my favorite quotes is: “Share the gospel, use words if necessary.” (I don’t even know who the quote is by…oooops).

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35

Have Christians in the past proved that they are disciples of the Lord by their love for one another?…are they proving it now? I have to ask myself the question, “Are you proving to the World that you know God by your love for others?

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”-Gandhi

If the body of Christ isn’t what I think it should be, if love isn’t shown like I think it should be then it starts with me. I have to start the reform. The more love you give out, the more you receive.

“Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

I could have enough faith to move a mountain and it would literally mean nothing if I didn’t love others. I could have the gift of prophecy…I could win the lottery and then give everything I have to the poor but if I didn’t love other then none of it would matter (1 Corinthians 13:2).

I am pleading with humanity to love and I am on my knees asking the Lord to show me how to love. I want love to be my foundation and ceiling. I want to start and end with love.

I actually believe that love is going to change the world. I have this crazy idea that if we actually say and show that we love each other then everything is going to change. God is love right? If I show love to others then I am essentially showing them God.

I believe with all my heart that a LOVE movement is starting. I believe there are believers who truly love the Lord and others with all their heart.

LOVE is the movement…

Endnote: I do realize that I used the word love (don’t forget this one)like a billion times and I’m okay with that, I even highlighted them in red so it would be easier for you to count them all. You’re welcome. (;
