Welcome! I'm thrilled you stopped by. This is a place to connect share, learn and grown through the journey God has us on! Currently this journey is taking me on the World Race and I'm hoping as you learn more God will weave the World Race into your journey in some way as well.
In July 2011 I will set off for 11 months to share the hope of my amazing Savior with 11 countries! This is an opportunity to leave behind all the earthly things I’ve been dependent on for 24 years and pursue God alone, as He takes me on an unbelievable journey toward the things He created me for! I’m changed by the understanding that we were truly created just to walk intimately with Him and lead others to do the same. I’ve learned about his character as He has taken the messiness of my life and used it for His purpose. He has led me to a deeper understanding of His power, faithfulness and grace while giving me a glimpse at the vastness of His love. He is calling me to share the hope of that message! This journey will no doubt test and develop my relationship with Him and I’m anticipating His power to radically transform my heart, mind and passions! I’m learning to trust His ultimate plan, knowing He has already provided for each step of the way. He is sufficient for this life! I believe what’s happening here is so much bigger than me. I’m blown away by how God has pursued ME for this mission. I count it a privilege… I have to share His story… the call to go is something I just can’t shake, something God is stirring in my heart so loudly I couldn’t ignore it if I tried (for the record, I’m not trying to ignore it, I’m wildly excited about living out of a backpack and tent for a year to get the opportunity to love and serve His people)! I’m in awe of the joy and peace God gives! He is fulfilling the dreams He created in me in ways I NEVER imagined!
The World Race is an opportunity to show the love of Jesus in practical, hands on ways! I will travel with a small team, living in authentic community, to 11 different countries. We will partner with a ministry already on the ground in each country for one month. We will often be living out of our tent and the backpack we’re carrying it in! Our mission is simply this… to go with the message of Christ and find the darkness! We will be bringing light to a dark and barren world! We will demonstrate Gods love by meeting physical, tangible needs.
“But you are a CHOSEN generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light…" 1 Peter 2:9
Because God has called us to himself, from darkness to light, He has qualified us to do this! It is a response to our salvation. We were redeemed to bring fame and glory to Him! We will care for orphans, widows, victims of human trafficking, poverty and despair. Our mission is to go in obedience to God’s call, serving the ‘least of these’ and expecting Him to do the rest! I expect to see miracles of healing, deliverance, life change and hope! I want to hold children who have never felt love so they know our Father’s love. I want to share the message of Christ’s redeeming power with women who’ve been enslaved and see them awakened by their value in Christ. God fights for justice. I believe the time is here for us to reach those enslaved to the injustices of this world with the message of hope that God hears their cries and is mighty enough to save! I believe He wants to free the captives, feed the hungry and heal the sick… and He wants to use us to do it!
