So here it is…the end of the “I AM” series. I do not always talk about myself this much (although my team members would joke and say I do); I just want to share what the Lord has been doing in my life.
Also, I am not always SO serious! In fact, I am constantly being ridiculous…jut saying! So here are some facts about me…some are WAY out there while others will help you better understand what goes on in the mind of Alisa, Proxy, Proximo, P-Rox, and whatever else you would like to call me. So if you are looking for the REAL Alisa, then you have come to the right place. Enjoy.
- My family is my EVERYTHING (after Jesus of course).

I only have a few REALLY close friends, but I cherish each one of them. - The Lord uses music as a way to BEATHE LIFE into me.
- I LOVE musicals! If my life was one, I would be okay with that!
- Filmmaking is a DEEP passion of mine; it is my voice.
- I love the BEATLES…like, I think it may be an obsession…seriously…
- I have OVER 200 goals that I WILL accomplish by the time I am 40 years old (why 40? It just sounded good). I can now go home and check MANY of them off…Thank you WR!
- Working out and running=LOADS of fun!
- Call me a fashionista if you please! My perfect outfit of choice…skinny jeans; white blouse; black vest; cute scarf; bangles; dangly earrings; red nail polish; and of course RED PUMPS…just saying!
- I ENJOY being around people, but I HAVE to have some alone time.
- I LOVE a night out on the town with my girls, but I enjoy hanging out at home watching movies with the people I LOVE just as much!
- I am a helpless romantic…it is disgusting.
- Dogs ARE a man’s best friend…trust me, I know. However, I prefer BIG dogs over the little annoying ones.
- I would like cats; however, I am allergic so I chose to dislike them.
- Smoking is repulsing. DO NOT do it around me please.
- I started writing scripts at the age of 16.
- During my high school days, I was president of Interact Club, Assistant Director for two plays back to back (which was unheard of at the time), was in AP Club, Advanced Choir, and I became a Thespian for life…you can just call me an overachiever.
- I won a FREE cd for my amazing dance skills at my 8th grade graduation dance…just saying.
- My favorite saying…JUST SAYING!
- I have NEVER had SO many nicknames in my life then I have received on this Race…I do not get it.
- I used to have CRAZY OCD…like stuff you would see on MTV’s True Life: I have OCD.
- I love Mexican food and I MISS the days when I would receive tamales in place of candy on Halloween.
- Thunder and lightning scare me.
- I <3’60s and ’90s culture.
- I have the MOST AMAZING mentors in the WORLD!
- Before the WR, I was one of the Sunday school teachers at my church and can I just say, I MISS those kids like CRAZY!
- The year I turned 19, I loss over 40 lbs. and have managed to keep it ALL off ever since!
- I was crossed-eyed as a child; I had eye surgery when I was eight.
- I am OFFICIALLY addicted to The Office and Glee.
- I thoroughly enjoy those cheesy kid films from the past, such as: The Goonies, Sandlot, My Girl, Problem Child, Now and Then, Stand By me, 3 Ninjas, Adventures in Babysitting, Mighty Ducks, etc.
- I like getting dressed up for NO reason!
- I dislike politics…very much.
- I LOVE: old photographs, sunflowers, peacock feathers, rollercoasters, history, the smell and sound of rain, road trips, children/youth, piano, dancing, singing, standup comedy, poetry, rodeos, fishing, camping, hanging out at coffee shops when I have nothing better to do, snow days, traveling (but that is a given), listening to music in the car, giving gifts, reading, documentaries, learning, long walks, making lists, classic car shows, farmer’s markets, culture, short stories, old school Disney films (you know…when it was not considered Pixar), jewelry, hiking, tea, sparkling apple cider, Broadway/theatre, writing, journaling, basketball, art, coffee, frozen yogurt, live music, sports events, classic rock, and the list goes on…
So…this is me in a nutshell.
