Hey Guys! This is Carmen again, Alicia sent me an e-mail and asked me to copy and past this blog for her! Continue to pray for her! <3
First of all, I apologize for not blogging much this month…internet
is VERY limited. Our team spent the past two weeks out in rural
villages in Nkhata Bay and another place that I won’t even attempt to
spell.
I wish I could explain what the past two weeks has been like right
now…hopefully it will come soon! For now, I just have one story to
share.
I walked into a house church on Sunday and sat next to a guy on the
floor. We shook hands and introduced ourselves, then church started.
He worshiped with complete joy. There came a time in the service when
they invited people to share what God is doing in their lives. The man
next to me stood up. He lost his job a couple weeks ago. His family
spent their last 500 Kwatcha on groceries (that’s less than $3) last
week. He had nothing left to do but to pray that God would give him a
way for him to provide for his family. His wife did laundry, and they
found another 500 Kwatcha in his pants pocket. He rejoiced and said he
and his family were showered with blessings from their Heavenly
Father.
How much do we feel like we need before we consider ourselves blessed?
The word need is an interesting one…I hope to write more about that
in the future. I encourage you all to recognize the blessings in your
life instead of expecting them.
