On Saturday, my team and I took a day off and rode elephants, hiked down to swim at the base of a waterfall, went to a village in the mountains of Thailand, and rode a bamboo raft down a river. It was a really well-spent day. It was fun to marvel at God's creation (elephants are so cool!) and to enjoy His creativity – the trees, the land, the water, the people, the mountains… everything was bliss.

(The waterfall we swam [and jumped off the rocks!] at).
(Kris and I's elephant scratching his nose, haha).
(Okay, so right as I decide to ride on the elephant and not the bench thing, we
start going downhill – I wish you could see my face better because it's pretty priceless.)*

To everyone at home: I miss you and love you very much. I've been pretty homesick this week, but God just reminded me of one of the main Scriptures He gave me before I left, Joshua 1:3-9, but especially verse nine: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
I hope that that Scripture is one you are standing on as well. Have a wonderful day and continue to press into Him.
Father God, I thank you for every person back home in the States: family, friend, or reader. I thank you Lord that you hear me every time I pray for them and every time they pray for me. You're incredible, God. Thank you again for your beautiful creation, for the uniqueness and creativity that we can see through it, as well as you being sovereign. I pray that you would bless every person back home, Lord; that they would have deeper and more intimate time with you, and that each person would have an incredible testimony to share with me when I get home, God, that you would work just as powerfully in their lives as you are in mine. I love you, Lord. Thank you for finding delight in us. I pray these things in Jesus' name, amen.
Love, Alicia
