“The research is very clear: if Jesus is not already part of [a student’s life] by the time they leave junior high school, the chances of them accepting Him as their Lord and savior is very slim (6%, to be exact).”

– George Barna

That would be just one reason we are motivated to do mission trips like this!

The kids and leaders all did very well, though!  The biggest idea of the day was that, since Christ gave himself as a ransom for us (Matthew 20:28), that we can give ourselves to others, which is ultimately for Him (Proverbs 19:17, James 1:27, Hebrews 13:16).

Please be in prayer for our wonderful team throughout the rest of the week!  We only have two days left, and while we have already made an impact on Muskegon County and our students, we know it is God’s desire to take it many many steps further.

Tomorrow, we’re headed to three Muskegon County nursing homes and (here’s the scary part!) the hotel to stay overnight!  Woohoooooo!

Thank you in advance for your prayers for our amazing and precious youth!  ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick update on Muskegon 2010 – Middle School Mission
Trip for the day! Ready… set… go!
 ๐Ÿ™‚

Today we went and checked out Every Woman’s PlaceDonationCenter,
The Hope Chest, and the men’s and women’s shelters of Muskegon Rescue Mission
to learn about serving God’s men and women, the needy.  We did a lot of
folding/hanging/sorting clothes, had a great time for praise and worship, and
had lunch at
KrusePark!
I think the team can agree that today was (and will be) the hardest day physically…
yes, we all got tired. ๐Ÿ˜‰
