We are in India!!! We said goodbye to the rest of our squad a few days as we all went to our separate ministry locations. After having a month with the whole squad, I am excited to be living with just my team for the first time this month.

We finally arrived in Bangalore on Tuesday morning after a couple of long travel days. When we left Swaziland, we drove 6 hours to Johannesburg to catch our flight to India. On the way, we had a 20 hour layover in Qatar. It was so much fun to get to explore the city of Doha. We went to a market, walked around the city, stuck our feet in the Persian Gulf, and were able to experience Middle Eastern culture.

We arrived in Hyderabad, India at 2:30am, and after getting our bags and the bus ride to our hotel, we were finally able to go to bed around 6am. After a day of training on the Indian culture, our squad went our separate ways. Our team rode a bus for 10 hours from Hyderabad to Bangalore. For a little bit of culture shock, I got to experience peeing on the side of the road with 20 strangers for the first time. Needless to say, when we reached our ministry location, I was so excited to finally be at our home for the month.

We are working with a children’s home called Jireh Trust. Our amazing hosts have taken in 15 children that were unable to get any sort of education in their previous homes. Now they give these children three meals a day, a home to live in, and great education. We will be helping the children study for their upcoming school exams, teaching bible studies, and just loving on them and playing games. Our hosts are incredible and have truely live with servant hearts. It has been so humbling how much love they have show us in the last few days. They have welcomed us into their home, helped us with whatever we needed and served us wonderful food until we can't eat anymore.

I am so excited for what this month has in store for me and my team. We can feel the presence of the holy spirit is strong here, and we know God is moving in mighty ways in India. Please join us in prayer as we ask God move big this month.

Just a few new bits of information:

We had a team change at the end of last month. Katie C. and Corinne are no longer on our team. Team Braveheart is now down to 6 members. We miss them already, but we know that God has great plans for each of us individually over the upcoming months.
