I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always…
As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.
I’m almost 24 years old…
The other week, I was a melting pot of emotions…for that matter, I still am. This close to launch, I’m just a plain old mess, trying to figure out how to hold it all together and balance the juggles of this journey.
Two weeks ago my dad was away with a friend ice fishing. My mom and I shared a quiet evening at home together. She went to bed, then I went to bed… about two hours later, around midnight, I was still awake, struggling. At 1:30am I was still awake, crying, feeling very sad, lonely, and scared. Completely overwhelmed with the process of growing up, balancing life’s demands, and preparing to embark on a journey of a lifetime.
And all I wanted to do was crawl into bed with my Mama and have her comfort me and tell me everything is going to be alright, Just like when I was little and had recurring nightmares. So I did. And she let me.
I am so thankful for the parents that God has blessed me with. They continue to provide for me, support me, comfort me, teach me, and love me unconditionally… Even when I’m an adult, even when it’s in the middle of the night, even if they have to make sacrifices to do so.
Props to the Big Papa upstairs. He is a relational God, and He’s blessed us with people in our lives who care for us. He wants to do the same for each and every one of us, and more. God is our ultimate parent. He created us and loves us, we are His adopted sons and daughters through Christ. He sacrificed His own son that we could be with Him for an eternity…
Now, if He’s willing to do that for us… don’t you think He’s more than happy to have you crawl into His lap and seek His presence for comfort when you’re wounded with the boo-boos of this life? HE SURE IS! You’re never too young or too old, you’re never too bad or too good, your problems are never too big or too small. He loves you exactly as you are, because He created you and knows your worth, priceless. You are precious in His sight and He cares for you. So reach outwards and upwards; He’ll lift you up and bring you into the loving and everlasting embrace of His arms. He’s going to pick up all of your broken pieces and place you back together, into the beautiful being He created you to be. In His image.
God will COMFORT you, PROTECT you, CARE for you, GUIDE you, and LOVE you. UNCONDITIONALLY. He’s the perfect parent. All you have to do is ask, even if it’s in the middle of the night.
God will LOVE YOU FOREVER and LIKE YOU FOR ALWAYS.
