For a little while now I’ve been waiting for the year of 2015 to come.
Sounds a little ridiculous if you think about it, but has someone ever asked you.. “a few years from now where do you think you’ll be?” and the place that I am at is more than anything I’ve ever wanted to be.
Did I really make it? Am I actually going on the World Race? Will I really be turning 21 this year?!Yes! and I can’t believe it. My heart races for joy just thinking that when I was 18 my dream was to go on this crazy stretching journey for 11 months.
I have to be honest, my transition from 2014 to 2015 happened really fast and i’m slowly catching up to it. I graduated in December and started a new job that I’m absolutely passionate for shortly after. I was accepted onto the Race with the route that I chose and now I’m here. Scrambling to get my support letters written and sent out to all my family and friends, figuring out my place at Created (the wonderful nonprofit that I work for), and balancing out time so that I can finally write my first blog post.
All of this seems so surreal to me. I already know this year is going to be one of the most challenging ones yet, but lets be real.. each year always seems like it gets harder as you learn what growing up truly looks like!
Nonetheless I’m truly thankful to be in the place that I am now. Moving through one day at a time and following where Jesus is leading me. Thank you SO much for taking the time to get to the end of this post. I plan for many many more to come (:
