9 DAYS?! whaaaattttt?!

I leave in 9 flippin’ days for my World Race.

My time back home since training camp has absolutely flown by. I guess it’s time for a little update on what’s been going on and this crazy adventure that’s coming up in 9 DAYS

Since my amazing time at training camp, I have become a college graduate! WOO HOO!! I went back to Tuscaloosa for a week to move out of my house, say bye to friends, and do the whole graduation ceremony deal. Whew. I can’t believe I did it and I’m done with school forever (yea, forever. I’m not going back…ever.)

Since the middle of August I’ve been back in Williamsburg with Momma and Dad, working and spending time with friends. I really can’t believe it’s almost October and I leave in 9 DAYS (ha)! But the days really have all blurred together in a whirlwind of trying to get things done, working, and spending time with people. I’m trying to soak up every minute of the things I love about home…the beautiful lake I get to wake up to, my loving parents, dad’s awesome cooking, getting my feet tickled while I’m bumming on the couch (I keep telling Dad he has to tickle them because he won’t be doing it for a whole year…love it), my dog, toasted coconut coffee, driving my baby truck, comfy beds…I could go all day, but I’m really trying to take it all in!

Even though I’ve loved being home, it’s been hard to be away from my amazing squad and team that I will be spending the next 11 months with. I’ve struggled with the re-opening of past wounds and the lies that the enemy loves to plant in my head. While I’m so ready to leave in 9 days I want to be sure that I’m not running away from my problems, but confronting my fears and anxieties head on (punch him in the face, yea?) I know when the enemy wages war against us, the primary battlefield is the mind. But NOTHING…not a thing…is bigger or more powerful than God!

So I guess a few prayer requests are in order 🙂 Please pray that I will go into this journey with the right mindset, humbling myself, and ready to radically surrender (thanks Cas!). Pray for a safe and smooth launch for my squad as we travel to our first destination: Guatemala! If there is anything I could be praying for you for, please shoot me an email!

Lastly, I am so excited that God has been so faithful in providing the finances to let me embark on this journey to serve Him in the nations! I only need $1,692 to be fully funded! Thank you so much to everyone who has faithfully given money to share in this with me!

Love you all!! I will try and do one last blog before leaving the states…woooo!
