Lighting up Malaysia

This month we are working with a community center teaching English, among other subjects. The center is run by a family who are truly seeking out God’s calling on their lives. Their dedication and love for the people of this community is beautiful. While this area is safe, it is not a place where direct Evangelism can be done. We have to be careful what we say in public, we have to monitor what we wear, and the best part….we get to be Jesus through our actions!!  

This month, my team and I get to really lean on God and let Him shine through us. We rest in knowing that He goes before us and that we can plant seeds with the simplest of smiles to a stranger on the street or a kid in English class. When Jesus was walking this earth, He not only loved with his words, but he loved with His hands and feet.

What a joy and blessing this month has already been in just living out faith through actions and kindness!

To be honest, of course I would love to shout Jesus’s name from our window. Or tell the kind lady who works at the 7-11 that she has a Father in Heaven who loves her and died for her. Or tell the girl I have been tutoring that Jesus wants to bless her each and everyday. But, since I cannot do that, will you join me in prayer for this town. Join in the fight against darkness, as we bring the LIGHT to every corner of the earth. The LIGHT is shining here in Gua Musang, Praise God! I pray the LIGHT only gets brighter and brighter!!
