Several times throughout the past few weeks I’ve had to stop and say, “Okay, God. It’s not me. It’s YOU.”
{And just so there’s no confusion: I don’t mean that in a “I’m breaking up with you, God” kind of way}

Here I am in a hotel room in Atlanta, about to start Day 1 of Launch tomorrow…

{Insert freak-out sesh here}

I’ve packed up my belongings and moved out of my apartment.
I’ve traveled to 5 states in 1 week.
I’ve said all my “see you laters” and shed many #inevitabletears.
I’ve packed and re-packed my bags countless times, fretting over every ounce of extra weight.
I’ve gone over check-list after check-list of things to do in preparation…

But this is it.

In 4 days I leave with my squad to start travel to Nepal.

And that is in no way due to my own personal efforts.

I didn’t meet that deadline and get here by my own power.
The same amount I raised in a year was the same amount I needed in roughly a month…it seemed impossible. But God did more than just provide that amount…He surpassed it…most of which in 3 days.

It’s not me, God. It’s You.

I don’t use that phrase as a break-up tactic.
I use it as a way of giving God the glory.

It was so humbling, exciting, overwhelming, and incredible to see how God provided in the week before this last deadline. He showed up in the form of family, friends, squad mates, and even complete strangers! I am truly blown away by how quickly and selflessly you all stepped up to help…seriously. THANK YOU!!

Please be in prayer with me this week as all D, E, F, and G squads launch for the World Race. Pray for safety, peace, comfort, strength, and that God would continue to build us up as warriors for His Kingdom. There is so much work to be done over the course of the next 11 months, and I can’t wait to see how God uses each and every one of for His cause.

But even in using us to further His Kingdom…it still won’t be because of us. So I also pray that we can all develop the mindset of “It’s not us, God. It’s You.” and give Him the glory for what’s to come this year.

Lastly, I want to ask that you would continue to partner with me in this journey. My next deadline is October 1st, and I will need to have reached $11,000 by then. Obviously God has proven His provision thus far, and I have NO doubts the rest will be provided as well. So if you’d like to be a part in helping me reach that deadline, you can do so by clicking the “Support Me” link at the top of the page.

**I will also be in need of personal funds while on the Race. This would cover any unforeseen medical expenses, extra food, clothing, day-off adventures, souvenirs, etc (things not included in the cost of the trip). If you’d like to help in this way, you can send funds via PayPal to [email protected]

Please also remember to subscribe to this blog to receive updates from me while on the field. I want this to be your journey as much as it is mine.
