Well folks, this is it. India. Month 11. We finally made it to the YWAM base in Bangalore, but it was not an easy process. We left our ministry house in Tanzania at 8:15am on Sunday, July 31 and arrived to our ministry house in India at 8:30am on Thursday, August 4. So what has happened the past 5 days?! Well I’m glad you asked.
I’ve traveled about 5,000 miles with 2 airplane rides, a 35+ hour train ride, a few rickshaws thrown in and a couple taxis. I’ve been lost twice, experienced a bomb threat in a mall and played a Michael Jackson song for my 5 Indian men bunk mates on the train.
This is what 35 hours on a train will do to you!
We’re still not sure what this month will be like yet but I’m excited about the culture, the food, the clothes (it’s best if we “blend in” with the locals) and the people. It feels good to be back in Asia. I didn’t realize how much I loved it until I was away.
Stay tuned for ministry stories from this month and my reCAP of the past 3 continents!
