After 45 hours of travel, 4 different airplane rides and 10,000 miles we are finally in the Philippines!  I tried to beat jet lag by staying up all night during our layover in LAX but I was unsuccessful.  Luckily we were given 2 days to get acclimated to the 13 hour time difference.
Part of me feels like the Race is just now starting.  Yes, I’ve been gone for 3 months but I’ve also grown up going to Latin America multiple times a year.  So I was very comfortable with the language and the culture and it almost felt like every summer I’ve had since I was 10.  I have never been to Asia before and I have no idea what to expect but that makes me very excited!
I am so blessed to be able to work alongside Jeff Long and K.I.M.  (Kids International Ministries) in Manila.  He gave us a brief rundown of what ministry looks like this month, and let me tell you, I am going to be exhausted! But in the best way possible. Feeding distribution, children’s home, prostitute ministry, birthing center, tutoring, and so much more.  I want to do a little bit of everything but am really going to see what the Lord wants me to do this month.  I will say I am already in love with the Asian babies, not gonna lie! I can already tell I’m going to have a lot of blogs this month so I hope you’re ready for them!
