Howdy ladies and gents!!!! It's been a long time since I've given you an update so here we go…
WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW: Right now, we're halfway through our time on the World Race – 5.5 months in with another 5.5 months to go. It's been an awesome and challenging journey. Right now, I'm sitting in a coffee shop in Kigali, Rwanda. It's my day off. The last few months have been wonderful. India brought a challening ministry with special needs orphans. Last month in Tanzania, I saw Papa work powerfully through me and teammates in evangelism and preaching. This month, He's moving in BIG ways – revealing new things to me daily and teaching me about the Holy Spirit. We're getting to minister to and love on prostitutes and fellow Christians this month, and I love it! And worship here is awesome; I love all the dancing that happens in African churches! I love Africa! In 2 weeks, we'll be in Uganda – for our last month in Africa before heading back to Asia! God has been so faithful to me – providing all my needs and then some! Life out here is rich and sweet and ripe for growth!! I'm looking forward to what Papa has in store over the next 5.5 months!
MY HEAD AND HEART: Life on the race is challenging at times. Community is challenging. It has its ups and downs – like anything else in life. I'm entering into a period of awesome spiritual growth right now, and I'm super excited about that. I do miss home quite a bit, but I believe that's normal. There are times of joy, times of sorrow, times of frustration and times of awe. But overall, even through the challenges, my heart's in a good place, and I am amazingly blessed to be out here as an ambassador for Jesus!
FUNDS: Woot woot – Praise Papa! I'm only $2,500 away from being fully funded – BUT I need to raise that $2,500 by March 1st or I will not be allowed to continue on the Race. Can you please help me stay on the Race? Pretty please with a cherry on top? 😉
PRAYER REQUESTS: Lately I've been having a hard time writing blog posts. Everytime I sit down to write, I feel blocked. I love being able to share this experience with you through blogs, and I would love for my voice – in wiriting – to be restored. Please pray for that, my friends! Also, please pray that my support would come in as the final deadline is quickly approaching. And… also for more love and grace in my heart to pour out on those around me!
